Welcome!
I am very pleased to introduce a new online service for UCLA faculty inventors - the UCLA Faculty Inventor Portal.The Portal brings new access to intellectual property (IP) related information, and is an important part of OIP-ISR’s growing efforts to improve communication about the IP management process.
OIP-ISR manages over 1,400 active inventions. One of our biggest challenges is to keep faculty inventors informed about the changing status of their inventions. To help address this challenge, we developed the Faculty Inventor Portal, which allows faculty to go to a secure website 24/7 and review the status of their inventions.
The Portal includes information on where an invention stands in the licensing process, patent application status, and the licensing officer who manages the invention.

If you are a UCLA faculty member, I encourage you to logon to our Portal. Portal access is granted by using UCLA’s standard logon id/password system. Additional information is provided in our FAQ available at the top of this webpage.
